Board Of Trustees
George McMahon
Chairman
George, the founder of West Coast Furniture Bank, is a Mental Health Nurse. Hailing from Northern Ireland, he now resides in Stevenston with his wife Fiona and their two daughters. As the central pillar of WCFB, George is the primary communicator, managing relationships with partner organizations and contacts.
George was presented with a Platinum Champions Award in 2022 by the Queen for his outstanding service to charity. Both George and Fiona have a strong Christian faith.
Iain Preston
Vice Chairman
Iain, originally from Airdrie, is married, resides in Irvine and is a member of Townhead Christian Fellowship in Stevenston. He contributes extensive experience in business, organizational, and charitable management from the medical equipment, public relations, and media industries. His expertise encompasses training, product and project development, fundraising, strategic planning, operational advancement, and governance.
Jan Murchie
Secretary
As a Senior Family Care Worker, Jan has worked in Children's Services with the local council for nearly 30 years.
Jan is passionate about the Care and Protection of children and has dedicated her professional career to being a safeguarding champion. She is married with 2 children and a grandchild.

Fiona McMahon
Project Manager
Fiona, married to George, is a mother to two daughters and a Yorkie. Her career spans a decade in retail management, over two decades in the Quality department at GSK, a role as a Learning & Development Consultant for a prominent children's charity and several years as a recruitment consultant and tutor for the local council. Fiona has also dedicated 18 years as a panel member on the Children's Panel, including seven years as a tutor.
